Detour…

tour 04 in paris

(Paris 2004 <3<3<3)

So much for best laid plans – My Tour de Fleece is not going to happen due to a combination of teething boy who is still regularly up at 5am, resulting tiredness, and actually wanting to watch the tour footage rather than just listen to it.

(I like spotting the riders. It’s not the tour unless I’m randomly shouting out their names as a spot them.

Most spotted so far this year: Stuart O’Grady. GO STUEY!)

Maybe August will be my spinning month? July has turned out to be full of other thing.

But that’s ok. 🙂

Glastonbury at 6am monday morning…

Glastonbury 09 - at 6am this morning

FB has been waking up at 5am for the last few weeks due to a combination of ‘I can move around now, so much to do!’, lots of open windows,  a loud dawn chorus, and very bright early mornings.

Luckily his parents are morning people, on the whole.

That said, I was pretty bleary eyed when we started watching sunday night’s tv coverage very early on monday morning.

(My favourite performances from this year? Pendulum, and The Prodigy – who were as fresh and amazing as I remember them being at the Phoenix and Reading Festivals in 1996 But I was also impressed that Blur were back at their fighting weights.)

Heatwave.

I’m northern. I can’t take the heat. I miss the sea breeze.

It’s too hot to take photos.

It’s too hot to write conherent posts.

It’s too hot for FB to sleep (3.15 onwards this morning. Luckily his dad  took over at 5 am so I am not a total heap on the floor.)

It’s pretty much too hot to craft, though I’m making limp attempts.

It’s too hot to think about food, but I’m breastfeeding, so I’m always hungry.

We’re off to sit under a tree with friends. In the shade, with fruit and lots of water.

I can’t wait for it to rain over the weekend. Seriously. Then maybe my brain will start working again.
