Badge of Summer.

Summer!

There is no point in wearing jewelry right now. Little grabby fingers are into everything, and anything small is likely to get eaten.

However I remembered this post from A Friend to Knit With, and set to work summerifying myself. 🙂

The fabric is Munki Munki Swimming Pools – which I really really love.

I expect to add one or two more to my wrist as the weeks go on, and they’re staying on till the end of August.

(Probably. 😉

On my needles…

handspun Baktus

(Baktus [ravelry link] – using this handspun)

For the first time in a while, I have a project on the needles that doesn’t need to be finished, so I can just pick it up when I need something mindless to knit, (as I did last night while watching the new series of Top Gear).

I like getting my scarf knitting sorted in the summer and getting the finished item blocked and put away, ready for the first cold autumn day.

It’s a present to myself.

Spin the Wheels (in training)

ravelry fibre

In the last week or so, all my craft time has been taken up with spinning the fibre I bought at the UK Ravelry Day.

It’s still drying, and needs reskeining so that I can see how much I’ve got, but regardless, it’s squishy, and plentiful and goes from light to light/dark to dark.

I can’t wait to see how it knits up.

(Though there are a few things before it in the queue, so that might be a number of weeks. Until then I just get to squeeze it and admire it. Not exactly a hardship. 😉
